French 1st council period court sword 1799 1802. The handle is made out of silver. The blade has one groove approximately to the half of the blade no both sides. The third of the blade is decorated with bluing and gold ornament.
The scabbard is missing. Overall length is 35 inches.The blade is 31 inches. I just received a response from one of ebay members who told me that the court sword could be the beginning of the restoration period with loius the eighteen (1815-1820).
