Nice North African Nimcha Sword 19Th Century

This is a nice example of a north african nimcha sword which dates from eraly to mid 19th century and has survived in very nice condition. It is mounted with a multi-grooved, slightly curved blade that measures 26 3/8 inches in length. Teh blade is stained nevertheless does remain in very good condition with nice maker's markings still present on either side. The lovely carved horn hilt has beautifully aged with just a few small insect holes but no chips and no cracks. The steel knuckle bow and guard also remain very nice, tight and sturdy. The tooled leather scabbard shows some wear nevertheless does remains in good serviceable condition as well. Overall measuring 33 3/4 inches in length.
