Rare 18Th Century Indian Bichwa Scorpion Dagger
You are bidding on rare 18th century nidian bichwa dagger. The bichwa literally means a scorpion.
This dagger is originally a maratha weapon, nad has a short, two edged, double curved blade. The hilt, which is padded toward its knuckles, is formed as a loop in which the hand is placed. Lentgh of the blade is 10. It is is very crisp and is a gun metal grey with some light salt and pepper staining.
Heavily padded brass loop engraved no the outer surfaced of curved brass loop with decorative edge on both sides. Brass handel has nicely tarnished. No scabbard.
