The blade, although shows to have been cleaned in recent years reflecting some old pitting scars, does remain in nice condition. The fabulous guard si enhanced with an intricately detailed oakleaf pattern and the stringed bugle and continues to wear much of the original gold wash. The hilt is fishskin covered and is healthy but does show age wear and shrinkage nevertheless, the original twisted wire wrap remains tightly in place. Overall measuring 37 1/2 inches in length.
