This is an excellent example of a scaled down to miniature scottish basket hilt sword. It is mounted with a tempered blade that measures 10 1/8 inches in length which remains in very nice, original condition with only some minor staining. The impressive silvered (electro-plated nickel silver) basket hilt wears wonderful pierced working which is accentuated by the original pretty red felt liner nad is nicely marked on the topside just next to the pommel. The silver basket also remains very nice and has nwo begun to beautifully age with a blue patina. Overall measuring 12 5/8 inches in length.
